"Laya" is a 1981 action drama movie starring Rudy Fernandez and tells the story of an ex-convict in search of a new life but is caught in the tangled web of love, hate, and intrigue. Directed by Jim Goldman (as Jun Gallardo) and with story and screenplay by Ben Buenaventura, other cast member include Amy Austria, Ernie Garcia, Carmi Martin, Rez Cortez, Paquito Diaz, Dick Israel, Lucita Soriano, Jose Romulo, and Ruel Vernal among others.
